| Determining Bra Size: Tips To Help You Determine Your Bra Size |
Finding Your Correct Bra Size Has Never Been Easier. With our simple, easy method, determining bra sizes for your body shape is easy and foolproof. Bras have created a complicated mystique in sizing since their inception. Now, though, we have an exact formula for fool proof bra sizing. You will need to take three measurements to determine you exact bra size. First, for the measuring process, put on your most comfortable, best fitting, most complementing bra. Avoid using a bra with extra padding in the cups to get a more accurate sizing. Next, measure the circumference of the ribcage just below the bust. If this number is an odd number, add 5 inches. If the number is an even number, add 4 inches. So, if the number is 32 inches, add 4 for a band bra size of 36. If your ribcage measurement is 33, add 5 for a band bra size of 38. For the cup size, measure the ribcage size just above the bust and the actual bust at the fullest part—normally over the nipples. Subtract the smaller number from the larger number then use the following formula to determine cup size. If that number is 1 inch--cup size is A, 2 inches—cup size is B, 3 inches—cup size is C, 4 inches—cup size is D, 5 inches—cup size is DD or E, 6 inches—cup size is DDD or EE, etc. Bra sizes can be difficult to figure out, but a good fitting bra is essential to looking good. Of course, determining bra sizes can give you a good idea of what size bra you should look for, but trying on the bra for fit is essential. Never assume you know the correct bra size for a bra because each manufacturer has their own standard for determining standard bra sizes. Standard bra size for one company may be entirely different for another company. So when ordering bras online, be sure to find out all you can about return and exchange policies. That way, you can be assured to get the right size without any unnecessary hassles. |
