Smooth and Invisible
There are many reasons for wearing bras and underwear: support, beauty, comfort. Besides frills and support, consider the invisible reasons for wearing them. Invisible you say? One reason to wear certain intimate wear is to hide details you would rather keep unseen. Bras and underwear meant to smooth and blend-in are perfect for body hugging clothing. Smooth Seamed Bras Special bras are available which appear invisible underneath tops such as smooth t-shirts, solid blouses or clingy tops. Seams are cleverly placed so they are not visible through the material of the shirt. Often the cup is made with a small amount of thickness to avoid unwanted bumps from showing through. The result is a smooth, seamless look that enhances your figure. These types are often called ‘t-shirt bras’. Many popular brands carry lines of t-shirt bras, such as: Calvin Klein, Wacoal, Spanx and Goddess. Avoid Panty Lines There are several ways to avoid panty lines when wearing body hugging pants. Thongs avoid lines by not having any in the first place. Some types of panties have very little elastic edging and are very smooth to minimize lines. Another choice is to wear slimming undergarments. These usually span from mid-thigh to the waist – so panty lines are no more, and you have the added bonus of appearing slimmer. A new fashion in panties is the boy-shorts style. This type of body-hugging underwear looks like a form fitting boxer. The seams fall on the leg rather than on your bottom, which reduces visible lines. Choose Color Appropriately Now that you have a smooth look, don’t spoil it by choosing colors which show under clothing. When wearing light colors, choose ‘nude’ or skin colored underwear and bras. For darker clothes, wear a black bra. Sometimes the best undergarments are the ones no one knows are there! For natural look, seek out varieties which are well-fitting and in colors which can’t be seen. |
