Finally Lingerie Models are Appearing in Plus Sized Figures

For centuries, civilizations have stood in awe of the womanly figure, the soft curves of a woman’s stomach and the ampleness of her bust. Even great artists like Van Gogh and Michelangelo depicted goddess-esque women in many of their most famous masterpieces. This is what makes our society’s fascination with twig thin figures so perplexing. Somehow, we have allowed our views of beauty to be swayed by what others say we should look like.

Finally, the fashion industry is taking notice that the public longs to see real women on the runway, real beautiful women who have so much to offer the world. What once seemed like a distant hope is now a reality. Plus size lingerie models are beginning to pop up on runways all across the world . . . and we think it’s about time. Not every woman is a size three; in fact, most of them are not even a size ten. Most women are real and curvaceous – this is what the vast majority of these women want to see on the runway – somebody they can relate with.

While plus size models for lingerie are still far from the norm in the industry, we are keeping our fingers crossed that soon the fashion world will open their eyes to everyday beautiful. Until then, we will be on the front lines of fashion, watching from the front row of the catwalk cheering on those beautiful, real life women who are fortunate enough to break the mold.
